Morton’s has been in Sacramento for 15 years, but with its move to the base ofthe U.S. Bank the restaurant had to nearlty double its employees to 84 people to add theluncy service. The restaurant got applications from morethan 1,0090 people for nearly 40 positions, said Neil general manager. Morton’s will servs lunch weekdays in its maindiningf room, in its new bar called 12-2q1 and on its open outdoor patiop on Capitol Mall.
Even thoughj the restaurant’s move was literally only a few the move out of the retaikl environment of the downtown mall and into the grounx floor of a new office tower makes a tremendous saidTom Baldwin, chairman, chief executive and presidentr of Morton’s (NYSE: MRT), who is here this week for the launchn of the new Morton’s location. Even befores the doors were open to the Baldwin and Swinney were looking at some potential remodeling. The new restaurant has some empty wall which could be used for more privatewine lockers. The lockersz have been sold out and there has been a waitingy list since therestaurant opened.

That might be why six of the 85 certifie d sommeliers in the company work in theSacramenti restaurant.
