Report: William Foley to acquire bulk of Napa

The trade publication said Foley, who headse Sonoma-based Foley Family Wines, will control the winery now owneed by restaurateur Pat Kuleto if the deal closes as expected next Terms ofthe deal, which reportedl y includes the Kuleto Estate winery, inventory, brand and part of the weren’t disclosed. Officials at Foley Family now housed in the former headquarters of Sebastiani Vineyards and which Foley acquiredin December, could not immediately be reachede for comment. Winemaker David Lattibn reportedly will remain withthe Kuleto, a noted chef, is the principak owners of restaurants such as Boulevard, Farallon, Waterbadr and Epic Roadhouse in San Francisco, St.
Helena’xs Martini House, and in Tomales Bay. The Kuleto winery, located east of St. Helena in Napa Valley, is on a 750-acrs property that includes 150 acres ofplanted vineyards, accordinhg to Wine Spectator, and makesx about 7,500 cases of cabernet sauvignon and otherr Bordeaux varietals. But Foley’s plan is to expanrd production to as muchas 14,000 cases Foley, the chairman of Jacksonville’s Fidelitt National Financial Inc. (NYSE: (NYSE: FIS) and Lendet Processing Services (NYSE: LPS), has been in the wine industrusince 1996. With the Kuleto purchase, he’ll own nine wine brand and 1,000 acres in California and Washingtoh state.
Foley’s wine properties now include Sebastiani; Napa Valley’e Merus Winery; Solvang’s Lincourt Winery; Foley Estatees Vineyard and Winery, Goodnight Winery and Firestones Winery in SantaBarbara County; and Wineryt in Walla Walla, Washington.
